The eighth season of "Big Bang Theory" may finally answer the burning question, did Sheldon get on that train and will leave the show.

The past season of the popular TV series "The Big Bang Theory" saw the immense progress of Leonard / Penny relationship as the two were finally engaged. Plans of walking down the aisle are among the talks of the bosses while the series' hiatus.

"I never thought of that, but you're right — he could show back up at home immediately, couldn't he?" Jim Parsons told TV Line. The actor also revealed that he went to his bosses and asked for the whereabouts of Sheldon and "nobody will tell me. I don't know if they know yet. They may know, but I really don't know if they do," he said.

Aside from Leonard and Penny's good relationship, TBBT fans are also curious about Sheldon and Amy who had a big leap in their relationship as the couple kissed. Audience will be reminded that Sheldon took a step back after he dismissed the idea of the two of them living together and took off on a train. It is still unclear whether Sheldon actually get on the train, which makes the final episode of the previous season a cliffhanger.

The season 8 of "The Big Bang Theory" will reveal if Sheldon is selfish enough and took off or will give it a try to make things work with Amy. Fans should just hope that writers will not do anything detrimental to the show. Carter Matt speculates that the show will establish a new equilibrium after all of the change that happened to the characters.

Jim Parsons was also anxious about the next level of his slow-paced relationship with Amy if his character will come home to the rest of the gang. "I don't know that we're headed for the bedroom or the altar any time soon," he admitted. "But, whatever... The writers have been so good with the pace of it, just bring more is all I would say," he said.
