American Dove-Award winning Christian artist and Backstreet Boy Brian Littrell celebrated his first No.1 radio single on US Christian radio this week, as “Welcome Home” took the top spot on the Inspirational chart in the U.S. The title track is also in the Top 5 on Adult Contemporary charts.

“I get excited when I hear the song because of the promise that the Father will say, ‘Welcome Home,’” comments Jim Stanley of American Family Radio. “So many times I listen with my head first rather than with my heart, but this song got through to both. Our listeners ‘got it’ from the first spin and have loved it.”

In addition, Littrell released his first music video as a solo artist. The “Welcome Home” video was shot in Franklin, Tennessee, in June and has already been streamed online more than 250,000 times since its U.S. premiere at Yahoo! Music on 25th June, and is garnering attention at music video outlets across America.

Honoured this year by the Gospel Music Association with his first Dove Award, Brian Littrell is widely-known as a 13-year member of the legendary pop group Backstreet Boys. He has contributed to worldwide sales in excess of 75 million records and has garnered legions of fans around the globe. Last summer, Backstreet Boys released Never Gone, its first studio album in five years. Littrell lives in Atlanta, Georgia, with his wife Leighanne and their three-year-old son Baylee.

Produced by Billy Mann (Jessica Simpson, Ricky Martin); Dan Muckala (Backstreet Boys, Mandy Moore); and the production team of Mark Kibble and Dave Thomas (Take 6, Mariah Carey, CeCe Winans), Welcome Home ‘reveals Littrell’s heart and plants a stake in the ground recognising his source of greatest hope’.

Littrell earned his first Dove Award in the Inspirational Recorded Song category at the 37th Gospel Music Awards for his hit single, "In Christ Alone." This chart- topping track was recorded for the WOW #1s project, and was Littrell's first project in the Christian market.
