Coulrophobics or those with fear of clowns should refrain from watching the upcoming fourth season of "American Horror Story: Freak Show" as the TV series will feature "the most terrifying" twisted clown, according to show creator Ryan Murphy.

In Ryan Murphy's interview with Entertainment Weekly, he revealed that the freak show concept is one of the ideas sitting in the back burner, but actress Jessica Lange, who will play the ringmaster of the freak show, took a liking of the concept.

"It was always a concept that Jessica and I talked about really early on. It was always her favorite one, which I thought was funny. I've had many different versions that I've run by her. I just love it. It feels really right. I thought it was going to be light but it's turning out to be quite terrifyingly dark, which it feels much more like the Asylum season. But look — if you have a character named the Clown Killer, it's going to be dark," Ryan Murphy disclosed to Entertainment Weekly.

He quickly added that the loyal viewers of the show will see "the most terrifying clown" to grace the small screen.

Meanwhile, Ryan Murphy along with some of the cast of AHS Coven attended the recently concluded San Diego Comic Con where the show creator revealed some juicy details about the upcoming season where it was revealed that John Carroll Lynch will step into the shoes of the evil twisted clown and be the main villain of the show.

The alleged casting sheet of the show leaked during Comic Con where it was shown that Sarah Paulson will play the role of the two-headed character or the conjoined twins Dot and Bette. Other characters include Kathy Bates as Ethel Darling; Evan Peters as Jimmy Darling; Emma Roberts as Maggie; Angela Bassett as Desiree Dupree; Michael Chiklis as Wendell Del Toledoand Jessica Lange as Elsa Mars, as the ring master of the freak show.

"American Horror Story" season 4 entitled Freak Show will go on air in October at FX.
