Speculations suggest that Xiaomi may be readying the Mi Note 2 for an August launch. A recent teaser from the company supposedly confirms that the new flagship will roll out soon.

Reportedly, a post on the Chinese social networking site Weibo has Xiaomi teasing a new flagship release soon. According to GSM Arena, the caption in the image teaser reads, "Love it, no one lose." There is also a "2>5" tag. The industry follower then surmises that this may have something to do with the upcoming Mi Note 2 flagship, and the teaser is even comparing the upcoming iteration to the current-gen, top-tier lineup of the company, the Xiaomi Mi 5.

As for the Mi 5, there are also rumors that Xiaomi will be outing a step-up version of the current-gen lineup, and the teaser may also hint at simultaneous launches for both the Mi Note 2 and the rumored Mi 5s. For the new Mi 5 series addition, rumored specs include a 5.5-inch display with full HD resolution. This is slightly larger than the current, 5.15-inch screen for the Mi 5 lineup. Meanwhile, there are also step-up specs and features for the upcoming Mi 5 addition, namely a top-tier Snapdragon chipset (which may be the SD 821), and 6GB of RAM. In addition, it is also said that the new Mi 5s will incorporate a faster Qualcomm ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, dual-cam setup, and a Force Touch screen.

As for the Mi Note 2, huge improvements and tweaks are already expected, given that the series is one of the top-tier flagship lineups for Xiaomi. Reportedly, the Mi Note 2 will launch in three models – a regular base model, a step-up version, and high-end, premium variant. Although Xiaomi has yet to confirm the specs for the Mi Note 2, it is expected that the high-end, premium version will at least get a high-clocked chipset, 6GB of RAM, and flagship features like dual-cam setup, fingerprint scanner, and quick charging.
