The World Series 2013 Game 2 takes place on Thursday night, with the St Louis Cardinals looking to level the series against the Boston Red Sox after their demoralizing defeat in Game 1.

Game 1 was a disaster for the Cardinals as they suffered a blowout 1-8 defeat. However, despite the nature of the defeat and how bad the loss was, in the end of the day it doesn't matter if they lost by a single run or by seven. They would be one game down in both scenarios and they have the same chance of coming back in Game 2 as long as they can keep their heads and reset themselves for tonight's challenge.
NLCS MVP Michael Wacha will take to the mound Thursday night. In three starts this postseason, he is 3-0 with a 0.43 ERA (only one run allowed), 0.57 WHIP, 5.50 strikeout-to-walk ratio and more than a strikeout per inning.
Including his final regular season start against the Nationals, Wacha is 4-0 with a 0.30 ERA and 0.51 WHIP over his last four turns.
In seven starts against teams that finished the season with winning records, he is 5-0 with a 0.36 ERA and 0.52 WHIP while averaging more than seven innings per start. He could be exactly what St Louis needs to get back into this series.
