'World of Warcraft' news: Guilds now at savage race to beat the latest raid

The race to eliminate "World of Warcraft's" newest raid boss intensifies, as the top guilds of the massively multiplayer online roleplaying game (MMORPG) are now vying for the first kill for Argus, the boss in question.

The new raid wing was opened last week, and it contains 11 new bosses straight from the Burning Legion faction of "World of Warcraft." The hardest challenge of the said raid was the Mythic difficulty version of Antorus, the Burning Throne zone which serves as the final boss room where players can end the threat of the Legion for the time being.

The new raid is as difficult as it is rewarding, requiring the full attention span of a team of 20 players, each complete with their own five to 20 alternate characters just waiting for deployment. While Normal and Heroic difficulty for the said raid is formidable enough, the Mythic difficulty is where players' tactical prowess and teamwork must prevail, lest they fail the challenge and waste time spent on preparation and grinding.

The competition between guilds was so fierce, that the top ones do not even upload their videos of the raid, let alone stream it as it happens. This is because strategy and tactics are everything in the raid, and they might risk other players copying or deriving from their own should they share their videos of the undertaking. The rewards are worthy of the risk, however, as the loot dropped by each of the 11 bosses are some of the most powerful and newest addition to the MMORPG.

So far, the guilds have only released a video of them taking down Kin'Garoth, which is the seventh boss of Antorus. A report from MMORPG.com has revealed that the guild "Method" is pulling ahead of the race, as they have now killed 10 out of the 11 bosses, meaning that the only one left for them is the most powerful member of the Burning Legion, Argus.
