It seems like Microsoft released Windows 8 not so long ago. Now, everyone is gearing up for Windows 9. Any new operating system from Microsoft is always deemed to be a vast improvement from its predecessor. Will Windows 9 live up to the bar that Windows 8 has set?
PC users can get an early try of the new Microsoft OS as the Windows 9 beta will commence on September 30 for the general public. This means that everyone can get a taste of Windows 9 very soon.
Microsoft hasn't confirmed that Windows 9 will be launched. However, they do have a "Threshold" program that they are working on. People put one and one together and got the assumption that "Threshold" is indeed Windows 9.
As for the specs of "Threshold," there's very little detail about it. Maybe more details will be known once the product is released.
Neowin does share one detail about Windows 9 beta though. The site stated that "Threshold" will have an update feature that will make updating the OS very easy to do. How easy? Simply with just a click of a button.
Neowin stated that "the feature is fully built out, meaning that it is integrated into the UI and it is a native part of Windows," meaning the feature is built internally in the Windows Technical Preview. And if this is true, beta testers will also get to see the new updating feature.
Aside from convenient updating, this update feature will also remove inconvenient update patches for users. This leads to much improved user experience for Windows users.
It is still unsure whether this feature will be included in the Windows 9 final version. Microsoft can decide not to include it before the commercial launch of the new OS happens.
