Franky Doyle (Nicole da Silva) may have just returned to prison, but it seems like she does not appreciate being brought back there after having felt what it is like to be outside. In episode 5 of the show's fifth season, she ended up tampering with a prison van and attempting to use it to break out. Will her bid for freedom be effective?

Foxtel revealed that Franky attempted to escape from prison by sabotaging a prison van. However, her efforts led to danger, not just for her life but for other characters as well.

Deputy Governor Will Jackson (Robbie Magasiva) was accused of being the culprit behind the proliferation of illegal drugs in the prison. Kaz Proctor (Tammy MacIntosh), the top dog herself, showed her deep distrust for him when she publicly accused him of supplying this to the other incarcerated women. This led to Will feeling not only hurt but also fearful that he may lose his job because of this. His emotions led him to decide to join Kaz as she was being transported for her trial. Unfortunately, they were on the van that Franky sabotaged. The wheel came off, causing the vehicle to tumble down to a ditch. Will recovered first, and he ended up rescuing Franky and the driver from drowning. After reaching dry ground, the two managed to talk out their differences.

Allie Novak (Kate Jenkinson), meanwhile, seems to have gone back to her bad habit after Bea Smith's (Danielle Cormack) death, as she was shown attempting drugs from Tina Mercado (Charli Tjoe). It was only when the former took responsibility for sabotaging the van that the latter actually gave her the drug. However, are things truly as they appear, or is Allie planning something as a way to retaliate for Bea's death?

Sonia Thornton (Sigrid Thornton) is also back in jail. Lucy Gambaro (Sally-Anne Upton) attempts to take over Bea's role as her protector for a fee, only to be soundly rejected. This has led to her and her squad beating up Sonia, to the point that she will need to use a wheelchair to get around.

"Wentworth" airs on Tuesdays at 8:30 p.m. on Showcase. It is also available on Netflix.
