Just in time for the holidays, Ubisoft is going to give two of its biggest titles on PC. The video game company is giving away "World in Conflict" and "Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag" for free in celebration of the two's big anniversaries.
"Assassin's Creed Series" is now celebrating its 10<sup>th anniversary. To honor its players, Ubisoft will make "Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag" free to download from Tuesday, Dec. 12, starting at 6 a.m. EST until Monday, Dec. 18, ending at 2 a.m. EST.
"Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag" was released in 2013. In the game's announcement, Ubisoft chief executive officer Yves Guillemot bragged that they have created the "boldest and most unique" installment for the video game franchise. The title is said to be based on a true part of an iconic era that will delight fans and new players.
Here, gamers will play the role of Edward Kenway. Edward is a pirate who is trying to make a name for himself. He will be doing this by sailing his ship on the Caribbean seas, searching for plunderers, enemies, and diving deep into the ocean to look for lost treasures.
On the other hand, also part of its 10<sup>th anniversary, "World in Conflict" and its "Soviet Assault" expansion will be both for free from Monday, Dec. 4, starting at 9 a.m. EST until Monday next week, Dec. 11, ending at 2 a.m. EST. The two can be downloaded from Uplay for free.
The game is developed by Ubisoft Massive. It is a real-time strategy (RTS) game set in an alternative history. Here, the Soviet Union has invaded the United State in the late 1980s.
