'Tom Clancy's The Division' tips and tricks: Infinite resource exploit and other tricks discovered

 Ubisoft

Although just a week old, "Tom Clancy's The Division" has already been extensively explored by players for exploits and tricks to master the game. Some hardcore fans have even found out an infinite resource glitch, and players can take advantage of the exploit until at least a new patch rolls out.

According to the IBTimes, the exploit lets players gather an almost unlimited amount of resources in-game for parts and weapon upgrades. However, rather than a straight-up cheat, the glitch can be exploited through heavy grinding and farming.

To start, players must be able to concentrate on single-item farming as the glitch can be best optimized if it is continually done for only a single resource. When players collect the items from a certain area in "The Division," there will only be a given number of items to be collected in that location for a particular amount of time. Nonetheless, the item can be instantly "respawned" if the player goes into a free-roam game in the matchmaking menu without leaving the area. When the free-roam game session ends, the source of the material in the location will have already respawned. Repeated cycles will give the player an almost unlimited supply of the in-game resource.

Meanwhile, aside from exploits, there are already a number of tricks that players can check out to stay ahead in "The Division." For GameRant, one of the most tried-and-tested tricks that can also apply in the game is for players to raise the bar of their gameplay. For starters, the industry follower said that playing against high-level enemies means that resource yields will have much higher chances of unlocking top-tier loot. However, players will also need to adjust their gameplay style to suit higher-level missions.

It was also found out that completing and re-playing the "General Assembly" mission always yields top-grade weapons. However, players who want to farm high-end weapons will need to finish the entire "The Division" campaign first as the mission is part of end-game content for the title.
