A new update has just rolled out for the life-simulation game "The Sims 4." Now, speculations suggest that the console versions of the game may come out soon.

According to CinemaBlend, rumors have said that EA is thinking of releasing "The Sims 4" for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and the console versions may come out this fall. The industry follower said that based on the release and constant updates for the current game, fans may not expect "The Sims 5" any time soon, and this will make developer Maxis focus on console ports of the game and all its expansion pack. "The Sims 4" currently has a number of new content like at least two major DLC packs and an assortment of game and Stuff Packs. The current title also has two theme packs, "Holiday Celebration Pack" and "Digital Deluxe Upgrade."

Meanwhile, Electronic Arts has rolled out a new update for its current franchise installment. The new update has broken down the gender boundaries in the characters for the game. With the new update rolling out, players now have customization options for their characters. Newly created Sims can now have physical attributes and in-game items regardless of gender. In addition, players can also now choose whatever they fancy in other in-game options like hair style and clothing.

In a statement sent to The Associated Press, it is said that the update was worked on over the years, and the response has been positive.

"Creating the possibility for greater gender diversity within the world of 'The Sims' is an exciting development," said Nick Adams, an executive of GLAAD, an LGBT advocacy group which Maxis has partnered with to create the update.
