In the next episode of "The Orville," Captain Ed Mercer (Seth MacFarlane) and his crew set out to rescue Dr. Claire Finn (Penny Johnson Jerald) who has crash-landed on a distant moon.

The trailer for the upcoming installment titled "Into the Fold" was just released recently and showed Finn's transport ship penetrating the moon's atmosphere and crash-landing on its surface. She screams in terror as the damaged vessel takes a nosedive. Finn, however, emerges from the wreckage unscathed along with her two sons and Isaac (Mark Jackson). Her problems have only started as the moon's inhabitants notice her crashed spaceship and make their way to it. The strange-looking people threaten the crashed survivors which prompts Isaac to use his laser gun to retaliate.

They flee from the wreckage but now Finn has to find a safe shelter from the creatures. She uses her communication device as she surveys the strange land. Unfortunately, she gets captured by the creatures who appear to be quite hostile. "No one survives for long," one of them says to Finn as a fight takes place moments later. It remains to be seen if Mercer and the crew will be able to save Finn and her group from the hostile habitat before anyone gets hurt.

In the last episode, Lt. John LaMarr (J. Lee) got arrested in a civilization where people voted whether a person was innocent or not of his actions. Apparently, LaMarr disrespected a statue which was caught on camera. He was apprehended and subject to the people's vote. Fortunately, he got less than 10 million negative votes which allowed him to be set free. La Marr and his two companions were able to return to the Orville safely.

The next episode of "The Orville" will air on Thursday, Nov. 2 at 9 p.m. EDT on Fox.
