'The Legend of Zelda' release date news: New game to launch on Nintendo NX before 2016 ends?

While Nintendo is silent on the NX's release, it is said that the upcoming gaming system will release before the year ends. A surprise twist also comes with the recent speculations as it is also being said that one of the launching titles of the Nintendo NX will be the much-awaited new "The Legend of Zelda" game.

According to Geek, a supposed leak outlined the upcoming releases by Nintendo, and the leak came from inside the company itself. The leakster posted the details on NeoGAF, saying that the information came from "an internal U.S. marketing budget and scheduling overview for 2016."

In the leak, it is detailed that the Nintendo NX has been listed with a holiday 2016 release window. It is also said that one of the launching games of the Nintendo NX is a new "The Legend of Zelda" title, which will also reportedly launch on the Wii U.

The industry follower said that while the supposed leak has yet to be confirmed, a two-console release by Nintendo is not new. In the past, the game giant already made such a move, releasing "The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess" both on the GameCube and the original Wii.

Meanwhile, should this release speculation be proven true, it will dispel the rumors that Nintendo intends to replace the current-gen Wii U with the Nintendo NX, which were said despite the company's claim in the past that the NX is supposed add to the gaming system lineup of the company.

Video Gamer added that the same NeoGAF poster previously uploaded details of a supposed "Pokémon Niji" title, which turned out to be true as Nintendo already confirmed a "Pokémon Rainbow" game. The industry follower said that while the details on the NeoGAF post did not contain any supporting information other than the poster's claims, the details may turn out to be true.
