January can't come any faster for fans who are aching to know what happens next in "The Flash" season 2. While speeding through the next episode, is not possible, viewers could do with some spoilers here and there.
In the midseason finale of the superhero drama, Earth-2 Harrison Wells, much like his evil counterpart, is prepared to do everything to be able to get home. But for the former, it is the chance of having to hug his beloved daughter again that makes it so important.
Even if it takes making Barry faster only for his powers to be devoured by Zoom, Harry will do it. The scientist agreeing to the evil speedster wrapped up the first half of "The Flash" season 2. When the show returns, Harry will do his best to at least give Barry a hint or bitterly execute his end of the bargain.
In the promo for the upcoming episode titled "Potential Energy," Harry warned Barry about the dangers and the horrors Zoom is capable of doing just to hurt him. "If Zoom finds out who you care for, who you love, he'll take them from you," he told Barry.
Indeed, Zoom delivers. The promo hinted that Barry's girlfriend Patty will be Zoom's next target. While the police officer has been in dangerous situations, Barry is able to save her while managing to keep his alter ego unknown to her.
But it looks like in the upcoming "The Flash" season 2 installment, Barry's secret will finally be revealed to his girlfriend. "You can't keep things from here forever," Iris told Barry, who was in turn convinced to finally tell Patty that he is the Flash. However, Zoom seems to be one step ahead of him.
On the other hand, the latter half of the season may finally see Killer Frost in action. Just recently, photos from the set featuring Danielle Panabaker donning the villain's costume were leaked online.
Whether Caitlin of Earth-1 has gone evil or Earth-2 Caitlin turns out to be a full-time baddie rather than a scientist remains to be seen. "The Flash" season 2 returns with episode 10 "Potential Energy" on Jan. 19.
