The reviews are out for the new movie "The Disaster Artist" which received immense praise from critics for actor James Franco's impressive portrayal of the infamous filmmaker Tommy Wiseau.

The movie directed by Franco received a lofty 96 percent rating from Rotten Tomatoes which is a site that aggregates review grades from different movie entertainment sources. Here are what some of the film analysts had to say.

Peter Travers from Rolling Stone expressed, "James Franco is firing on all his creative cylinders in this comic bonanza about Tommy Wiseau, the worst filmmaker of the 21st century. Franco hits a new career peak by making sure his film is as heartfelt as it is hilarious." The movie is about the quirky actor-director Wiseau and the events that transpired in the making of his notorious 2003 film called "The Room." The cult classic is celebrated for being one of the worst films ever made because of its weak story and over-the-top acting.

Brian Tallerico from RogerEbert.com stated, "Franco remains one of the most fascinating performers of his generation, even if his directing ability needs a little work." Franco appears to have gained the admiration of film critics because of his nuanced depiction of the eccentric Wiseau who has become an ironic film icon in recent years.

Brian Orndorf from Blu-ray.com wrote, "For Franco, the opportunity to dramatize this prolonged agony of production is irresistible, and his wildly entertaining 'The Disaster Artist' is a loving ode to the power of delusion." Franco has come a long way since appearing in comedy films as the typical stoner or drug addict. His upcoming movie appears to be a step in the right direction as he tries to improve his artistry with this noteworthy biopic.

"The Disaster Artist" will premiere in theaters nationwide on Friday, Dec. 1.
