'Tekken 7' release date PS4 and Xbox One news: will console versions have an E3 appearance?

The annual E3 is one of the biggest trade shows in the gaming industry. One of the most awaited games that fans hope to see at this year's event is the console version of "Tekken 7."

Dubbed "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution," the console ports of the original arcade title for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 were confirmed by publisher Bandai Namco almost a year ago. However, a specific release date has yet to be revealed. According to Yibada, given that the E3 is hosting a number of big-name releases, details about the upcoming "Tekken 7" console version are expected to be revealed.

Bandai Namco, however, has yet to confirm if a "Tekken 7" announcement is included in their lineup. However, this doesn't mean that the publisher will be quiet about "Tekken 7" at all. On the contrary, Bandai Namco continues to tour different game events in the US, most recently the Northwest Majors in Seattle, featuring the arcade version of the game.

Meanwhile, although the release date of "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" is still up in the air, fans the world over are getting introduced to the new game (the title has been a Japan-exclusive arcade title previously). In the U.K., the arcade version of "Tekken 7" is slated to appear for the first time, as part of an ongoing demo at the upcoming London Comic-Con event.

The MCM London Comic-Con is scheduled for later this month, on May 27 to 29.

In addition to the "Tekken 7" arcade version, Shoryuken reports that Bandai Namco is also more likely to showcase other franchise releases such as "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" and "One Piece: Burning Blood." Should this be proven true, then it is more likely that Bandai Namco will use the same repertoire for next month's 2016 E3 trade show.

The E3 is slated for June 14 to 16, with pre-E3 events already scheduled.
