Taylor Swift, One Direction, Beyoncé, Iggy Azalea among winners at the 42nd American Music Awards

The 42nd American Music Awards brought together the cream of the crop in the music industry, with the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Fergie, and Taylor Swift gracing the event. Held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California last Sunday, Nov. 23, the awards night gave recognition to America's favorite performers, songs, and albums, as voted for by the music-loving public.

The first Dick Clark Award for Excellence, the highest honor of the evening, was given to Taylor Swift.
