'Solo: A Star Wars Story' plot rumors: Evidence points to Jabba the Hutt being in the spinoff

Jabba demanding compensation from Solo for a lost cargo in "A New Hope" Lucasfilm

There is no escaping Jabba the Hutt for Han Solo even back in his younger years, as more clues point to the Huttese gang boss being present in "Solo: A Star Wars Story" spinoff and solo movie.

The most recent evidence can be found in the first trailer for the upcoming "Star Wars" spinoff movie, where for a brief moment, one of Jabba's palace guards can be seen if viewers look close enough. These are the same guards that can be seen in the original "Star Wars" trilogy during a season of Solo (Harrison Ford) and Luke Skywalker's (Mark Hamill) adventures, particularly in "Episode VI: Return of the Jedi."

Someone even took a screenshot of the said guard in the trailer and set it side by side with the one in "Star Wars: Return of the Jedi" and it was quite a perfect fit. This had fans convinced that Jabba will definitely be in the Solo movie, which is quite exciting since the two have a complex relationship with each other due to Solo being Jabba's favorite smuggler and with the former abusing this notion.

It is not yet known whether Jabba will appear in the form of a computer-generated imagery (CGI) or a puppet like in the original trilogy, though with the current technology, it will more likely be the former.

Another big clue that also recently hinted Jabba's appearance in "Solo: A Star Wars Story" is a toy in the form of a LEGO diorama, in which a leaked photo of the box art shows a compartment in the Millennium Falcon (Solo's iconic ship) that was not present in any of the "Star Wars" films before. Fans speculate that this may have been Jabba's cargo, which Solo dropped, making the alien gangster go after him.

Fans may get to see Jabba and a younger Solo on the big screen once "Solo: A Star Wars Story" gets released on May 23.
