In the next episode of "Shameless" season 8, Fiona Gallagher (Emmy Rossum) will get a shock when she checks up on a tenant who seems to be in some kind of trouble.

The trailers and promotional photos for the upcoming installment titled "Icarus Fell and Rusty Ate Him" were recently released. They show Fiona knocking on the door of Mrs. Cardinal's (Jonelle Allen) apartment. She keeps pounding on the door but there is no answer. It seems that there is a water leak coming from the apartment. She then decides to enter the premises to check up on the lonely tenant. Once inside, Fiona notices that the place is a cluttered mess and calls out to Mrs. Cardinal. She then sees a dog and follows it to a room. She gets the shock of her life when she sees Mrs. Cardinal lying dead on the floor.

Fiona gasps in horror as she takes a step back. Mrs. Cardinal's dog happens to be gnawing at the wrist of her deceased owner. The startled caretaker covers her mouth in disgust. She then tells the dog to stop what it is doing as she tries to inch closer to the dead body. The dog then casually leaves her owner and goes out the door.

Fiona later learns that she has to be the one to clean out the apartment. She may not be looking forward to the dreaded task.

In the last episode, Fiona and her brothers Ian (Cameron Monaghan) and Carl (Ethan Cutkosky) cleaned up an abandoned church so that investors would buy it and turn it into a respectable building. They also wanted to get rid of the drug addicts living there and make the neighborhood safer.

"Shameless" season 8 episode 6 will hit the airwaves on Sunday, Dec. 10 at 9 p.m. EST on the Showtime network.
