Samsung has yet to release the new Gear S3 in the market. However, speculations suggest that the new wearable will fetch at least a $450 tag when it comes out later this year.

SamMobile reports that pricing for the Samsung Gear S3 lineup hasn't been confirmed yet. However, a supposed online listing by a third-party retailer hints at the price range for the new wearable flagship. The industry follower mentions that, as per retailer MobileFun, the Samsung Gear S3 Frontier in black is listed with a £349.00 price tag, or around $450. Reportedly, the same retailer also recorded the base model, the Samsung Gear S3 Classic, with the same price tag.

Although the global pricing for the new wearable is yet to be confirmed, it is likely that the third-party retailer who jumped the gun already has an idea on the pricing details. The $450 tag is also the most likely price range for the new smartwatch flagship, given the prices of past iterations. In addition, Samsung itself has already announced an estimated price range for the new wearable, when the South Korea-based tech giant officially unveiled the Gear S3 at the 2016 IFA event in Berlin.

Meanwhile, although the same prices have been tagged for both lineup iterations, there are subtle differences between the Classic and Frontier editions of the Samsung Gear S3. While both run on the same Samsung Tizen wearable platform, the Gear S3 Classic is designed more as a conventional wristwatch, while the Frontier is for users who are looking for a more active lifestyle-themed smartwatch. In addition, the Frontier variant also features 3G/LTE support, as well as a speakerphone function that enables users to take calls. Meanwhile, both Gear S3 versions have the signature rotary bezel — an additional user interface for notifications and feedback — that Samsung introduced in its predecessor.
