Samsung Galaxy Note 6 release date: Handset to launch earlier in the year than predecessors did?

The Samsung Galaxy Note 6 is coming earlier than expected, according to latest reports. Samsung is said to unveil the phablet in July, ahead of the IFA trade show in September.

There's no information as to why Samsung is moving up the schedule, but the South Korea-based company has made know its plans to change up their launch timings.

Samsung did not wait for a year to unveil its latest flagships, the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, and it looks like it will do the same with the Samsung Galaxy Note 6.

However, there are still reports claiming that the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 successor will see the light of day in August or September. In that case, the device may still be Samsung's headturner at the IFA after all.

While reports clash as to when the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 will grace the mobile world, media outlets are one in saying that the upcoming Note iteration will be a beastly offering from Samsung.

The handset is rumored to come with a 5.8-inch Quad HD display and offer 6GB RAM, which, at the moment, only few available smartphones have. It will also boast an expandable 32GB and 64GB storage.

Pair that up with Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor or an Exynos 8 chipset and Samsung has itself its most fearsome Note yet. There's also word that the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 will be made water- and dust-resistant like the Samsung Galaxy S7 line.

The device is also being poised to be the first Samsung device to run Android N, which is rumored to be out and about as early as June this year.

Imaging-wise, there's word the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 is getting a 12MP rear-facing shooter with Super Optical Image Stabilization System that should let users take great photos even in low-light conditions.

The phablet is also expected to come with the S-Pen stylus, which doubles as a kickstand for the device as well.
