It is said that Samsung will be releasing the Pro versions of its Galaxy C-series as early as next month.

According to SamMobile, a post on China-based social media site, Weibo, has announced that the Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro and Galaxy C7 Pro will be making their debut in December. The South Korea-based tech giant has yet to come out with confirmed details on the supposed launch, though the Pro versions have already been in the pipeline previously. It is said that Samsung has been working for some time on the two Pro versions. They are said to already have model numbers, with the Galaxy C5 Pro coded as SM-C5010 and the Galaxy C7 Pro with model number SM-C7010.

A December launch for the Pro versions is highly possible. Previously, it is said that one variant, the Galaxy C7 Pro, has already entered its testing phase in India. The variant is supposedly included in a batch of new devices that Samsung has sent to its testing center in the said country.

Meanwhile, there are no details yet on what fans can expect from the Galaxy C5 Pro and Galaxy C7 Pro. It is expected, though, that the upcoming iterations will serve as step-up variants. Rumors suggest that the Galaxy C5 Pro will feature a Snapdragon 625 chipset, while the Galaxy C7 Pro will sport a Snapdragon 626 processor. This will be significant upgrades over the Snapdragon 617 SoC featured in the original handsets.

Upgrade specs may likely include at least 3 GB of RAM. However, it is possible that Samsung will feature 4 GB of RAM for both Pro versions, since the base model Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7 both sport 4-GB ones. Meanwhile, it is also expected that only the inner hardware and specs will receive a boost. This means that much of the design and form factor for the two base handsets will remain the same, including the 5.2-inch screen for the Galaxy C5 and 5.7-inch display for the Galaxy C7. Both displays have full HD resolution.
