Samsung Galaxy Android 7.0 Beta program update: Beta version to come out in other regions?

To date, Samsung is still into the beta version of its intended Androud Nougat 7.0 platform update. The Galaxy Beta program is only for select participants in the U.S., South Korea, United Kingdom, and China. Speculations suggest that Samsung will expand the beta program in other areas.

According to SamMobile, a supposed query for Samsung Philippines has a support representative hinting at the imminent launch of the beta program in the country. Supposedly, when asked if the Android Nougat 7.0 beta version will come to the region, the representative stated, "You may wait until early next week for its release to your device."

However, it should be noted that the statement remains unofficial, pending confirmation from Samsung Electronics itself.

Meanwhile, aside from expanding the beta program to other countries, it is also rumored that Samsung will add other devices to the Android Nougat 7.0 beta program. Supposedly, the next device to be added to the beta program is the previous-gen Samsung Galaxy S6, as a leaked benchmark listing points out the flagship being tested running on Android 7.0. This dovetails with previous reports that Samsung is already testing Android Nougat 7.0 for the Galaxy S6.

To date, only the current-gen Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge are included in the Galaxy Beta program for Android Nougat 7.0.

Aside from the Galaxy S6, it is also said that the beta program will likely expand to other current flagships in the Galaxy lineup. According to rumors, it is also possible for Samsung to roll out beta versions of the new Android platform to the Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy Tab S2.

The Galaxy Tab S2 is the current slate flagship for the series, since the anticipated Galaxy Tab S3 has yet to make an appearance. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Note 5 has been pitched into a flagship role again, since Samsung has recalled and discontinued the Galaxy Note 7.
