Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic will be facing it off in the Sony Open 2014 Men's final event today.

No. 1 seed Nadal is set to face his long-time rival No. 2 seed Djokovic.

However, the semifinals expected to take place on Friday, Mar. 28, did not happen. Both Nadal and Djokovic were able to gain spots on the finals without competing at the semifinals.

Djokovic rose to the finals after Japan's Kei Nishikori withdrew from the tournament with a groin injury. Noshikiri expressed his disappointment at not being able to compete. "It's really sad, of course, semi-final in a big tournament. I was really excited to play here. But unfortunately I couldn't move side-to-side. Just tried to warm up today, but I couldn't move."

Just hours later, Czech's Tomas Berdych withdrew from the game against Nadal due to gastroenteritis. Berdych told reporters: "I just woke up with a pain in my stomach, just went for toilet and got really strong diarrhea. Since then, it starts to go on and on. More time, diarrhoea and then also throwing up and stuff like that. I lost so much of the liquid and all the possible energy I could have...Came here. Tried to do as much as I could, see the doctors, receiving the IV and basically not with good results."

Fans were angered and left disappointed the Nadal vs Berdych match did not happen on Friday.

The live scores and results of today's game will be available here.  Real-time scores, news, statistics, draws, player profiles and schedules can also be viewed via the Sony Open Tennis Mobile app, available to download for iOS and Android devices here.
