The brand-new TV series on AMC, "Preacher," has already gained a lot of attention with the pilot episode. This series is based on a comic created by Steve Dillon and Garth Ennis about a God-fearing man who receives a cryptic power and goes on a soul-searching journey to find God with his ex Tulip and an Irishwoman named Cassidy. The Pilot aired last May 22, and the whole series will officially air with another shot of the first episode on June 5.

This series, developed by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, has been in the works for a few months now. Ennis has given positive reviews of the series so far, stating that he likes "how they have grounded the story". Reviewers and critics are also providing good ratings, mainly because the duo's creative humor has been paired well with the ghastly situations and the incredible characters of the original comic book.

The first episode focused on character introduction, which is why viewers are expecting more introspection on the plot with the second episode, titled "See". The official synopsis for this next episode reads:

"Jesse tries to be a 'good preacher,' unaware that a mysterious duo is after him. Meanwhile, the enigmatic Cowboy is introduced."

In the preview clip, the main characters are involved in some kind of investigation. They are hiding from Custer, played by Dominic Cooper, while he is baptizing a new set of faithful parishioners for his church. There is a lot of hype around drama circles about this series, because it promises fast-paced development coupled with dirty humor and raw violence. There is also an exclusive after-show already being planned for this new cable drama.

"Preacher" will start airing this June 5. Viewers can expect new episodes to arrive every Sunday night on AMC.
