British fans would be delighted to know that the period drama "Poldark" will air in June. However, American viewers will have to wait for a few months, since the show will return to the United States on October 1.

The dates were reported by Express. The exact date of the season premiere has yet to be announced by BBC One. However, Express speculates that it is possible that the first episode will air on the same schedule as the finale of "Britain's Got Talent" on June 4. The article also reveals that a new romantic pairing will be unveiled in the new season.

The last season featured Ross Poldark (Aidan Turner) cheating on his wife, Demelza (Eleanor Tomlinson), with his former sweetheart Elizabeth (Heida Reed). She later revealed that she was pregnant, but she did not say who the father was of her child. While Demelza said that she already forgave her husband, it is unclear if the two will truly reconcile, especially in light of the fact that Ross may have a child with another woman. Viewers are also left hanging if Elizabeth will push through with her marriage to her fiancé Francis Poldark (Kyle Soller), who is also Ross' cousin.

According to Radio Times, new characters will be introduced in the third season of "Poldark." Harry Richardson will play Drake, and Tom York will play Sam. Both are brothers of Demelza. Drake is the free-spirited sibling, while Sam is deeply religious. Also joining the cast are Christian Brassington, who will play Osborne Whitworth, a vicar who is described as "causing mayhem" in Cornwall, and Josh Whitehouse, who will be playing Hugh Armitage, an aristocrat who may bring trouble to Ross and Demelza.

The third season may not have aired yet, but Metro reported in April that the show has already been renewed for a fourth one.
