Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire now available for pre-orders for Nov. 21 roll-out

This Nov. 21, two Pokémon games will be unveiled – the remake of the much-loved Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire. The new games, called Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire will be available for Nintendo 3DS and both are now available for advanced orders.

The Pokémon website says, "Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire tell a grand tale that draws ever closer to the heart of the secrets behind Mega Evolution, said to be the greatest mystery of the Pokémon world. One of your many goals will be to seek out these powerful Pokémon and unlock their incredible potential."

While a player ventures through the fictional land of Hoenn in the remake of the 2003 game, they can build their Secret Base and decorate it, make Secret Pals, connect with other players using the special communication features, visit other Secret Bases, and more.

There are also two organizations in Hoenn that players will encounter during the game. Team Aqua is set on expanding the seas and flooding the land.  It is led by Archie along with his Admins, Matt and Shelly.  Team Magma, on the other hand, is led by Maxie and his two Admins, Tabitha and Courtney. Their mission is to increase land and evaporate the oceans. Some sharp-eyed fans have noticed that the two bosses have what looks like Mega Stones, the special gems used so their Pokémon can Mega Evolve.

During the game, players have the options for capture-the-flag wherein they collect flags from other players' Secret Bases. This will earn them rewards, increase their team's ranking, and improve their Secret Pals' abilities. They will likewise meet trainers and Gym Leaders. Using the Pokémon-Amie feature, which lets them feed and care for their little friends, they can create a better bond which, in turn, improves their Pokémon's abilities. Players can likewise join the Pokémon Contest Spectaculars, where they can compete in any of the five categories: beauty, cleverness, coolness, cuteness, and toughness.
