'Pokémon GO' updates: Niantic to changing how rare Pokémon care captured, tweaking gym training

"Pokémon GO" players will soon be experiencing improvements in the game as game developer Niantic promises that an update is on its way. The company said that big changes would happen in the process of capturing the rare creatures of the game. The gym training will also have modifications.

The developer has just announced that a new medal system will make rare Pokémon be captured easier. There will be bonuses from the medals attained for catching these pocket monsters, which will then increase the capture rate of the players to bag in the rare ones.

The company said, "These new bonuses will give you a better chance of capturing Pokémon with a related type. For example, as you reach a higher tier for the Kindler Medal, your bonus to catch Fire-type Pokémon such as Charmander, Vulpix and Ponyta increases."

"Trainers can work their way to a new tier by catching many Pokémon of the same type. If a Pokémon has multiple types, your bonus will be the average of your bonuses for each type. For example, Pidgey is both Normal and Flying type. Your bonus in this case would be the average of your Normal-type and Flying-type bonuses," the post also added.

In another announcement made by the Niantic, gym training will also become easier. Once the update has rolled out, players will be able to bring in a total of six Pokémon to a friendly gym for training. It used to be only one, so this is a big gain for the trainers. The CP of the defending Pokémon will also be adjusted lower to have a more balanced battle, which low-level trainers will surely enjoy. Aside from getting a bigger chance of winning. Every trainer will also have a boost effect from the friendly gym that they are training with.

The company has not mentioned a release date yet, but it is speculated to be some time soon.

"Pokémon GO" is now available for Android and iOS devices.
