PlayStation Plus free games August 2014 [list]: Crysis 3, Fez, Road Not Taken, Metrico and more

PlayStation Plus members are treated to free games and huge game discounts. Not only that, members can also enjoy free full game trials, exclusive betas, online game saves and online multiplayer.

So what's in store for PlayStation Plus members today? According to the official PlayStation blog, members will receive two games before the day of the release - "Metrica" on PS Vita and "Road Not Taken" on PS4. Apart from these two games, members will also receive, "Crysis 3" and "Proteus" on PS3, "Fez" on PS4 and "Dragon's Crown" on PS Vita.

For PS4, "Road Not Taken" is a puzzle game. The players strategically moves around the forest in the most efficient way possible, while using limited stamina. The player has to save the lost children in the process. "Fez" is a jump around puzzle game in pixelated 2D levels, but in a 3D world.

For PS3, "Crysis 3" is a first-person shooter game and now, it features a new toy—the Predator Bow. Further, there is a new mode players will enjoy and it's called Hunter. In Hunter, two players play together against CELL agents. The goal is to turn the agents into Hunters. Meanwhile, "Proteus" is a game about exploration and immersion in dream islands.

For PlayStation Vita, "Metrico" is a game that allows the player to immerse and experiment in a world of infographics. Each movement directly affecting different actions. Players need to think outside the box with this one. As for "Dragon's Crown," the critically-acclaimed action RPG is a hack em' slash em' game where it features cooperative play. Play with others to finish bosses and head to different adventures. Playing up to four players is allowed when doing dungeon runs, hunting bosses and hunting for treasure.
