British beauty Peaches Geldof has passed away Monday, April 7, at the age of 25. Kent police are currently treating the death as "unexplained and sudden."

Geldof's father, Irish singer-songwriter Bob Geldof, and sisters released a statement regarding their tragic loss:

"Peaches has died. We are beyond pain," the statement reads. "She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us. Writing 'was' destroys me afresh. What a beautiful child. How is this possible that we will not see her again? How is that bearable?"

According to a police statement, officials were called to a home near Wrotham, England this afternoon, after receiving a police welfare check request. South East Coast Ambulance Service later pronounced Geldof dead. "Officers are working to establish the circumstances around the death," the statement continues.

Peaches Geldof began writing for Elle Magazine when she was 15 years old, and went on to write for The Telegraph and the Guardian. She also had a successful modeling career - walking in London Fashion Week and becoming the face of "Miss Ultimo." She was dropped from the brand after nude photos and allegations of heroin use surfaced online. A representative for the socialite denied the rumors.

Geldof's mother, television personality Paula Yates, passed away in 2000 from a heroin overdose when Geldof was 11.

Geldof leaves behind her rocker husband Thomas Cohen, lead singer of punk band S.C.U.M., and two sons, Astala, who will be two-years old in 14 days, and Phaedra, who will turn one in 17 days.

"My beloved wife Peaches was adored by myself and her two sons Astala and Phaedra," Cohen's statement reads. "I shall bring them up with their mother in their hearts every day. We shall love her forever."

An official cause of death and funeral arrangements are pending, following an expected autopsy and coroner's report.

Many celebrities took to Twitter to express shock and sadness over the untimely death.
