"Outlander" fans are counting down to the premiere of the second season of the hit Starz series as the show returns for more adventure, romance, and drama this April. On Tuesday, Feb. 9, the show's Twitter account teased that something big is in store for fans this week, tweeting, "There are verra big things happening in the world of #Outlander this week."

One Twitter user wrote, "I bet my best shirt that you're going to share some news that makes #Outlander fans verra happy! Do I get to keep my shirt?"

The show's Twitter handle replied, "Yes, you can keep your shirt! #Outlander."

Other fans took to the micro-blogging site to guess what the show could be announcing in the next few days. Some speculated that the series will be announcing an exact premiere date for season 2, while some thought that it may have something to do with a season 3 renewal. The show's account also teased that the announcement is "the biggest" news yet and that the news will be revealed soon.

The series has been doing its very best to keep fans updated with regards to production since filming for season 2 started last summer. The show's first season was well-received by viewers and critics alike as it was nominated for Best Television Drama Series at last month's Golden Globes, and the show recently won Most Binge-Worthy Show at the Critics' Choice Awards.

Recently, the show revealed that they have cast the role of Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire's (Caitriona Balfe) daughter, Brianna. The role was nabbed by newcomer Sophie Skelton, and she joins fellow new addition Richard Rankin, who will be playing Roger Wakefield.

Season 2 will see Jamie and Claire in Paris as they hobnob among the elite of French society while looking for Bonnie Prince Charles in an attempt to change history and stop the Jacobite uprising.

"Outlander" returns in April on Starz.
