Last season, fans last saw Alex Vause at the mercy of the evil drug lord Kubra, with the character's fortunes hanging in the balance. According to actress Laura Prepon, her character will definitely make a comeback for season 4.

Melty said that Prepon also touched on how season 4 will "push the envelope" for the series. The actor stated, "I can't give away any spoilers, but the way it was written, nothing is taboo for [show writer and creator] Jenji Kohan, We go there and push the envelope. It's just so awesome."

Meanwhile, since Prepon is confirmed to be returning for the upcoming season, fans will get to see if there will be an on-going triangle between Alex, Piper, and Stella, given that the season 3 finale saw Piper (Taylor Schilling) ditching Stella (Ruby Rose Langenheim). It remains to be seen if Laura Prepon's Alex will still stick by Piper's side, or watch in the sidelines as Stella makes her revenge.

The new season of the Emmy award-winning drama series will return on June 17. "Orange is the New Black" will premiere on Netflix.

Meanwhile, as for the series' main protagonist, Taylor Schilling recently talked with People, taking time to reveal that her character in the show is actually "liberating." In addition, it seems that although fans see that "Orange is the New Black" stars seem without make-up (being inside a penitentiary), the opposite is true. Schilling said, "It does take time to get Piper [ready] — it takes far more makeup than you would imagine for me to look like I'm wearing absolutely no makeup."

As for the entirety of it being liberating, the artist said, "It knocks away one level of artifice, and I think that is what I appreciate most about acting. It's trying to drill down to the truth of a character, or situation or a circumstance and in some cases, lots of makeup helps with that."
