Recent leaks about OnePlus 5 show the phone's design.

The images, first released on Chinese site Weibo, show that the phone has a ceramic curved back, similar to the limited edition version of the OnePlus X. It also bears dual cameras for both the front and the back. Released by IndiaToday, new image leaks show not just sketches, as was previously revealed, but actual phone mock-ups. While the website notes that the design is not final yet, it is unlikely that its look will undergo a major overhaul considering that the phone is intended for release within a few months' time.

Android Pit notes that the phone does not seem to bear a fingerprint scanner, at least, not on the rear of the device. It also mentions that it does not bear the antenna lines of its predecessor, the OnePlus 3T. It also speculates that the phone is likely to have curved edges, similar to the design of Samsung S7 Edge.

No official announcements have been made regarding the phone's specifications. However, it is likely to bear a Snapdragon 835 chipset and 64 GB and 128 internal memory storage options. The rear camera may have 12 MP resolution, while the front camera may be at 8 MP. There are no consistent predictions as to its RAM, as some say it would be at 6 GB, similar to the OnePlus 3T, while others say the manufacturer will more likely amp the specifications and set it at 8 GB.

The last phone released by OnePlus is 3T. It deliberately skipped a phone with the number four because in Chinese, the number is equated with death, as both words are pronounced similarly in the language.

OnePlus previously confirmed on The Verge that this new handset will have a summer release date. No price date has been announced as of yet, but it is expected that its cost will be significantly lower compared to the latest offerings of other mobile phone manufacturers such as Samsung and Apple.
