The description for "Once Upon a Time in Wonderland" episode 1 titled "Down the Rabbit Hole" is as follows: "As our story begins, Alice finds herself in an asylum and everything she believes is called into question."

However, her story sounds insane and doctors attempt to cure her with a treatment so she can forget everything that happened in Wonderland. But Alice is saved just in time by the White Rabbit (John Lithgow) and Knave of Hearts (Michael Socha). The three return to Wonderland, with Alice hoping to find her lost lover, the genie Cyrus (Peter Gadiot).

In the series sneak peak preview, Alice meets the genie, Cyrus, for the first time and tells him why she's come to Wonderland.
