Nokia has already confirmed that it will be getting back into the smartphone industry next year. Speculations suggested that the tech maker will launch a full lineup, complete with both entry-level and flagship-specs series.

Phone Arena reported that the tech maker will be releasing an entry-level handset together with a flagship-specs lineup. In addition, the entry-level device may be the first one to come out since the handset has been to different benchmark websites. In a supposed listing for Geekbench, the yet-unnamed Nokia device came out under the model number D1C. Its specs listings indicated an octa-core, Snapdragon 430 chipset paired with 3 GB of RAM. There is also Android 7.0 Nougat already installed on the device.

The industry follower believes that the entry-level and mid-range devices for Nokia may be launched as early as next month, in preparation for the company's big return next year. There are at least two major industry events scheduled for early 2017, so the schedule definitely dovetails the Nokia comeback at either the CES 2017 or the annual Mobile World Congress.

Meanwhile, other supposed leaks also pointed out that Nokia has already made out the specs and features list for its upcoming flagship phone. Reportedly, the new flagship will feature a Snapdragon 820 chipset inside, and will likely be paired with at least 4 GB of RAM inside. However, the chipset option remains unclear as Nokia has yet to confirm the rumors. In addition, for a big flagship return, it is expected that the tech maker will likely go for the most recent SoCs like the Snapdragon 821 chipset or the already-announced SD 835.

Other supposed specs and features for the Nokia 2017 flagship include either a 5.2- or 5.5-inch display with Quad HD resolution and Android Nougat 7.0 right out of the box. It is also expected that the flagship will feature a new camera setup with Carl Zeiss optics, a signature feature for previous Nokia smartphones.
