Google Nexus 7 (2016) specs rumors, release date: Tablet to have a Snapdragon 820 chip, 4 GB RAM?; expected to arrive before the year ends

Google is expected to announce several electronic products before 2016 ends. One of them is the resurrected 7-inch tablet known as Nexus 7 (2016). It is rumored that it will be a high-end tablet that will contain a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC and 4 GB of RAM. The community also believes that it will be launched during an October media event by Google and will be available in the market before 2016 ends.

The famous leaker, Evan Blass, stated earlier that the community could look forward to the 7-inch Huawei-built tablet to contain 4 GB of RAM and to be released this year. Android Authority then translated a post from Huaweiblog.de stating that, according to their Chinese sources, the alleged device will sport a QHD display resolution, an SD 820 processor, 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB worth of internal storage, and a 13-MP camera at the back of the device. It is also rumored that it will be called the "Huawei 7P," a trademark which the company has recently secured. However, no other information is available at the moment.

Meanwhile, it is also highly expected that an October event will be organized by the search engine giant where the company will launch several devices. Two smartphone devices are also rumored to arrive this year, the Marlin and the Sailfish, which others call the Pixel XL and Pixel X. These smartphones are speculated to be powered by the same processor as the tablet. The Pixel XL and the Pixel X are sized to be 5.5-inch and 5-inch devices respectively.

Android Police mentioned in its report that a revamped Chromecast is also on the way, which will be capable of showing videos in 4K resolution, and will be called either Chromecast Plus or Chromecast Ultra. A Google Home device that works similar to the Amazon Echo will also be unveiled, as well as the in-house design of the Daydream VR viewer.

Google has not announced anything related to the event nor to the several rumored devices as of writing this article.
