'NCIS' Season 12 spoilers, air date; Gibb's second ex-wife revealed, will Tiva be resurrected?

Undoubtedly, "NCIS" has been the top grossing show for CBS and it's on its 12th season already. Truly, what a milestone this show has accomplished. It averages 57 million viewership worldwide. Recently, the show won the International Television Audience Award for a Drama TV Series from the 54th Monte-Carlo Television Festival.

The crew behind "NCIS" are thrilled with the award. Mark Harmon and Gary Glasberg said, "Thanks to our worldwide audience for helping us start the new season off right." That sounds about right. Nothing can motivate the people behind "NCIS" more than recently winning an international award.

Pauley Perette, who plays Abby Sciuto, even tweeted "I'm so watching #NCIS rerun right now and am so excited about season 12. I love my job" and "Oh YAY!!! #NCIS World's Most-Watched TV Drama http://variety.com/2014/tv/news/ncis-most-popular-drama-in-worldwatched-tv-drama-1201218492/ ... via @Variety Thanks Y'all!"

For sure, "NCIS" season 12 will be another explosive hit. But right now, there's really not too many spoilers for the new season. But what we know right now is that Glasberg has already shed light on Gibbs' second wife, the redhead. According to Breathecast, there's also a rumor about a new super villain appearing in season 12.

Moreover, there's a small possibility that Cote de Pablo might return to the show and reignite a relationship with Tony... bringing back Tiva. Glasberg says that if they do this, it should be balanced. "If Tony's in a personal relationship or there's something significant happening for him and he wondered how she would respond, then maybe we can figure out a way to do it. It's a valid issue to bring up. Every time we bring her up, for Michael (Weatherly, who plays Tony), and for Tony, it pulls him back to be in that relationship again ... so it's a tricky balance," Glasberg told TV Line.

"NCIS" Season 12 will return on September 23 at 8 p.m.
