Chicago Bulls trade rumors 2016: Bulls to swap Derrick Rose for Nerlens Noel?

Although the current season is not yet over, rumors of trades are already circulating online. Speculations suggest that the Chicago Bulls will possibly swap Derrick Rose for Nerlens Noel of the Philadelphia 76ers.

According to Inquistr, fans think that as a veteran, Rose's time with the Bulls has alrady reached its peak, and it is time for both the man and the team to move on to other things. In addition, the industry observer noted that although Rose remains one of the Bulls' main men, his numbers have dipped in recent games owing to an injury-filled season.

The Chicago Bulls management has yet to comment if Derrick Rose will be traded off before the next season. However, there are already speculations on whom he will be traded for – Nerlens Noel. The Philadelphia 76ers have already confirmed that they are already entertaining offers to trade away Noel.

In addition, it seems Chicago will be doing what it can to secure Noel before next season starts. Yibada reports that Chicago considers the 76ers center and power forward as a key player. In an unlikely scenario, the management is allegedly even willing to trade Rose, along with Taj Gibson, Mike Dunleavy and the team's No. 14 pick, for Noel alone.

The industry follower also believes that the rumors of Rose's departure from the Bulls are in part due to the rising star that is Jimmy Butler. Apparently, a switch between Rose and Noel will give the team another shot at a finals contention. In addition, it seems that Rose himself has already alluded that he is looking forward to being a free agent in the offseason toward 2017.
