It was indeed a great news for Moto Droid Turbo users when Motorola updated the device straight to Android 5.1 Lollipop from Android KitKat just days ago. However, when users made the jump, they noticed that the update brought along what it was supposed to eliminate.
Users now complain that the update messed up their battery. Most of the irked Moto Droid Turbo owners vented out their frustrations on the matter via the XDA Developers forum, all of them saying that the battery life drained faster with Android 5.1. Lollipop on board.
One users says that the device exhausts its battery even when it was not even in use. After six hours of standby, the users says 20 percent of the battery was sapped. Before Android 5.1 Lollipop was installed, he claims that only 2 to 3 percent should have been decreased.
Others are annoyed that now they have to bring their chargers with them as their Moto Droid Turbo won't be alive as long as it used to. When the device was first released, Motorola is lauded for the excellent battery life of the smartphone.
Apart from the prevailing battery concern, there are also users who experienced slow data speeds ever since they updated to Android 5.1 Lollipop. Motorola is expended to aid users of the damage. Unfortunately, the company is yet to respond to the issue.
To note, the Moto Droid Turbo came out with Android KitKat. It skipped Android 5.0 Lollipop and went all the way to Android 5.1 Lollipop. The device comes in a 5.2-inch AMOLED display, which generates 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution and an impressive 565 ppi.
Inside is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor and hefty 3GB RAM. It has 32GB of space, which users can use to save photos and selfies taken with its 20.7-megapixel shooter on the back and 2-megapixel snapper on the front.
