In the next episode of the TV sitcom "Modern Family," Mitchell Pritchett (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) teaches his gay partner Cameron Tucker (Eric Stonestreet) a lesson on gullibility.

The synopsis and promotional photos for the upcoming installment titled "Tough Love" was released just recently. Mitchell is shown seated at the dining table lecturing Cameron and their daughter Lily (Aubrey Anderson-Emmons). It seems that Mitchell thinks that his partner tends to be quite gullible when it comes to doing favors for other people. Later, Cameron's sister Pameron (Dana Powell) drops by and wants him to take care of her baby. He gladly accepts and believes his sister's reasons for not being able to look after her infant. Mitchell gives Cameron a judging look but is unable to do anything about it. Cameron then gives the baby to Lily for her to take care of it.

Meanwhile, Phil Dunphy (Ty Burrell) decides to go on a solo camping trip in order to get away from his family and focus on himself. Apparently, he left his real estate firm in order to strike out on his own. However, it seems like Dunphy is having a hard time believing that he can start a business by himself. It appears that his camping trip is a way for him to boost his confidence and prove that he has what it takes to go solo. It remains to be seen what will happen during his camping endeavor.

In the last episode, the Pritchett-Dunphy-Tucker family recalled instances where they encountered famous celebrities. Jay (Ed O'Neill) recounted the time when he met football legend Terry Bradshaw during jury duty. Unfortunately, Jay's actions rubbed Bradshaw the wrong way and ended up getting booted from the jury.

"Modern Family" season 9 episode 9 will air on Wednesday, Dec. 6, at 9 p.m. EST on ABC.
