While Bioware has yet to confirm that its upcoming sequel "Mass Effect: Andromeda" will come out next year, it is rumored that the game will roll out earlier than expected. However, the game is said to be delayed, pending approval from publisher EA.

On the transcript of the recent earnings call, publisher Electronic Arts has stated that the company willing to delay the release of "Mass Effect: Andromeda," only to make sure that the game has been developed in the best way possible. Company CFO Blake Jorgensen stated: "Right now, Mass Effect is tracking extremely well. The game looks beautiful. And we're really pleased with its progress. However, as you've seen, we are willing to make moves in launch dates if we feel it's necessary to deliver the right player experience."

Jorgensen did not specify if the publisher had an idea of how long the developers are willing to delay the game and hinted that "it could be a week, or three or four or five months," if needed.

Previously, Bioware stated that it will launch "Mass Effect: Andromeda" this year. However, the developer and EA agreed to delay the game, and instead, launch the title sometime early 2017. While a specific timeline is yet to be confirmed, the game will likely be released between January and March, as EA mentioned that "Mass Effect: Andromeda" will launch during the company's fourth fiscal quarter.

Meanwhile, leading to its launch, supposed teasers have already been published for the game. The latest teaser footage details that "Mass Effect: Andromeda" supposedly takes place at least 600 years after the events in "Mass Effect 3." In addition, hardcore fans are looking forward to next week's expected reveal. On Nov. 7, Bioware is expected to come out with confirmed details on the game, as the date has been known to "Mass Effect" fans as "N7 Day."
