Manchester United, Barcelona transfer news 2015: No bids for Pedro yet

Manchester United is yet to offer a bid for Barcelona forward Pedro Eliezer Rodríguez Ledesma and the Daily Mail reported that the club is waiting for the sale of midfielder Angel Di Maria to Paris Saint-Germain before placing one.

The Red Devils reportedly had an £18 million bid for Pedro but Barcelona wants his £22 million release clause to take effect.

Pedro has been rumored to leave Barca because of his dwindling playing minutes with the club.

The addition of Luis Suarez and the emergence of Blaugrana's attacking trio of him, Lionel Messi and Neymar last season caused Pedro to lose significant playing time with the club; that is why he is being linked to a move to leave Camp Nuo.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has been reportedly looking for a striker to play alongside Wayne Rooney, Javier Hernandez, and James Wilson and Pedro is a very likely candidate; that is why they aim to land him.

Along with the possible move to Old Trafford, Pedro might also consider joining Bayern Munich.

According to the Daily Mirror, a Munich-based newspaper reported Bayern's interest in Pedro, although there is nothing significant happening yet.

If Pedro joins the Germany-based club, he will be reuniting with former Barcelona manager and current Bayern manager Pep Guardiola.

In other United news, the Daily Mail also reported that Real Madrid will again try and sign goalkeeper David De Gea before the transfer window closes.

Manchester United already stood firm that if there would be no deal for Real's Sergio Ramos, they would not deal away De Gea.

United already inked goalkeeper Sergio Romero, who spent last season with Monaco via loan from Sampdoria, if ever De Gea leaves.

But according to the report, AFC Ajax keeper Jasper Cillesen is still United's best option to replace De Gea.
