A man from Montana has claimed that he saw Jesus Christ in Heaven while he was unconscious following a bad car crash.

Tom Dolezal from Hi-Lane was left with 22 broken bones after colliding with a truck that was pulling a horse trailer at Wolf Creek Canyon in Helena, the Daily Mail reported, citing the Liberty County Times.

He had apparently been unconscious for eight days, but when he finally woke up, he told the Liberty County Times about an extraordinary encounter with Jesus.

Dolezal said that he saw Jesus waking in a field and met an angel with a 'very pleasant face.' There were also apparently other people present wearing purple robes.

'I flew up into Heaven, and Heaven is stacked,' he told the newspaper, as reported by Daily Mail.

Other people have written books about their supposed experience in Heaven following their near-fatal accidents. One man has disavowed his own story about going to Heaven and is now suing a publisher for compensatory damages from the sale of his book.

Alex Malarkey, who was listed as a co-author of 'The Boy Who Came Back from Heaven,' had claimed that he visited Heaven while he was comatose from a car accident. But in 2015, he retracted the story, saying he only claimed to have visited heaven because he thought it would get people's attention.

'I did not die. I did not go to heaven,' the 20-year-old said, as reported by The Guardian. 'When I made the claims, I had never read the Bible. People have profited from lies, and continue to. They should read the Bible, which is enough,' he added.
