Apple has just concluded a new product launch. However, absent from the event is the expected debut of the 2016 MacBook Pro. Speculations suggest that Apple will be holding a separate event for its laptop lineups and that the MacBook Pro will still make it as a late 2016 release.

According to rumors, the Cupertino-based tech giant is eyeing a fourth-quarter release for the new laptop series, including the 2016 edition of the MacBook Pro. This means that fans will get to check out the new and improved MacBooks just in time for the holidays.

Although Apple has yet to come out with confirmed details on the MacBook launch, a late 2016 release is highly possible. It has been some time since Apple has refreshed its MacBook lineups, other than launching a new, more portable MacBook recently. As a refreshed lineup, the 2016 MacBook Pro is expected to come out with both current-generation improvements and new laptop features.

Standing out from all the speculations on the 2016 MacBook Pro is Apple's redesign of the functions for the laptop. The 2016 MacBook Pro will reportedly come out with an OLED touch panel on top of the keyboard. The new touch bar will customize itself depending on the functions of opened apps. For example, it will morph into volume and touch controls for audio and video for media player apps, or display function keys and shortcuts for task processors like Word and Excel.

In addition, it is speculated that the 2016 MacBook Pro will launch later this year with top-tier specs under the hood. On top of the specs list is the sixth-generation Skylake processor as well as above-average RAM and onboard storage configuration options. There are also talks of having Touch ID integrated on the new MacBooks, including the Pro edition.
