In the next episode of "Knightfall," Landry (Tom Cullen) is assigned by Pope Boniface (Jim Carter) to search for the missing Holy Grail of Jesus Christ.

The trailer for the upcoming installment titled "Find Us the Grail" was just released and it shows the Templars' Landry entering a cell and questioning a prisoner. "Where is the Grail?" he asks him angrily as he deals a blow to the face.

The cup of Christ was lost over a decade ago when the city of Acre was sieged. It was on board a ship which was hit by a fireball and exploded. Thus, the Grail sank to the bottom of the sea, never to be seen again.

However, it seems like the Grail may be in the custody of someone who has yet to be known. Nevertheless, the Pope assigns Landry the unenviable task of retrieving the long-lost vessel.

"God has placed the Grail into your life once again. Find it and find your way back to God," Boniface says to the focused Landry.

Meanwhile, it seems like Guillaume de Nogaret's (Julian Ovenden) plans are being hampered by the Pope's actions.

"The Pope must be dealt with. We must recover the Grail for ourselves," de Nogaret says to his follower.

It remains to be seen if Landry will be able to determine the Grail's whereabouts, and what de Nogaret will do to Boniface.

In the season premiere, after the Templars fled the city of Acre, they settled down in France where they decided to serve as advisers to King Philip (Ed Stoppard). They stopped searching for the Grail because they thought it had been lost in the vast ocean. Landry, however, wanted to rekindle the mission.

"Knightfall" season 1 episode 2 will hit the airwaves on Wednesday, Dec. 13 at 10 p.m. EST on the History channel.
