Kelly Clarkson home robbery news: 'We caught it on camera,' singer says

Kelly Clarkson opens up about the recent burglary that left her rented Los Angeles home ransacked.

Last Wednesday, the 35-year-old singer and her family went home to a house that was basically turned upside down, after it suffered through the hands of a robber. Luckily, it was all caught on camera.

The "Stronger" singer told Entertainment Tonight that it was already her third time being robbed, but this one was different because she already has kids. "It's a different level of, 'Ugh.' We're blessed we weren't home," she quipped.

The "American Idol" alum added that it was a great thing that their older kids were not with them, and their two younger -- River Rose (3) and Remington Alexander (1) -- did not quite get what happened.

Clarkson added that it was all caught on camera, and they found it weird that the robber was all over their children's room.

"Somebody was in your kid's room and ransacked our whole room and closet and everything, and that's never a good feeling," she said.

But other than that, the songstress is very positive about everything that has been happening in her life. She is also very busy preparing her home for the holidays. For her, it is the time of the year to really slow down and appreciate the more important things in life, particularly her family.

"My sister my mom and I are big gamers, so we sit there and play games and it gets heated and my mom usually ends up being miserable because we're so competitive and it's always fun," she shared.

The robbery of Clarkson's home was first reported on Thursday, via Extra, when the singer was interviewed in the pink carpet of the 2017 Billboard Women in Music Awards, where she received the Powerhouse Award. She said the robber took "materialistic things" they did not care about and that the most important thing was that everyone was safe.
