Katy Perry news: Shuts down plastic surgery speculations

In a recent interview, American pop superstar Katy Perry answered some questions on whether she has undergone plastic surgery or not in order to enhance her womanly features. Perry revealed during the interview that she has not gone under the knife, all while the singer was promoting her new lip product, Covergirl Katy Kat Gloss.

The interview with Perry was conducted by Refinery 29, who aimed to get to the bottom of the surgery speculations once and for all after all the years that the singer was asked about her features. Perry was not offended by the question at all, and she simply stated that "I haven't had any," except for some filler injections that she had administered to get rid of the dark circles around her eyes -- which is also something she recommended to others.

Perry went on further to say that a lot of people think that her "assets" are fake, but she seems not to care too much about other people's opinions or thoughts on the matter. Ultimately, though, she does not believe that she personally needs to get some surgical work done on herself. Perry said that she strongly believes in self-expression, and that people should do whatever makes them feel good about themselves.

The answer that Perry gave out should close the case on the speculations on whether she got a boob job or butt implants in the past. Despite her vast array of fashion choices, she never turned to plastic surgery to improve her look or physique.

Over the years, fans of Perry have seen her go through a myriad of radical transformations when it comes to making fashion statements -- from trying out different types of hair dye to wearing some over-the-top costumes for her concerts. As of late, she now sports a short pixie cut, unconventionally colored lipstick, and even a nose ring.
