'Just Cause 3' DLC release date draws near

Just Cause 3 Avalanche Studios

"Just Cause 3" was released just last month yet developer Avalanche Studios already has good news for its players. Apparently, the expansion content for the open-world, action-adventure title is already lined up, with the first DLC already nearing completion.

Posting on the official Steam Community page for "Just Cause 3," a representative from developer Avalanche Studios mentioned that the first DLC, part of the "Air, Land, and Sea" expansion packs for the title, is already nearing completion. While there is no specific mention of when players can expect the "Sky Fortress" expansion pack, the announcement said that the DLC itself "will bring new missions, features and other exciting surprises to the skies of Medici."

In addition, it is hinted that the DLC might well be in its final development stages already, since the developers themselves are "play testing this content right now so watch this space for more news on this very soon."

Meanwhile, although Avalanche Studios is focusing on expanded content for "Just Cause 3," the developers stated that a team is also dedicated to working out fixes and improvements, as well and patches and updates for the game itself, and the updates will be rolling out in the coming weeks. The developer also posted its location-specific Customer Support pages for Europe and North America so players can report game crashes and bugs.

GameSpot also highlighted one feature of Avalanche's announcement. According to the industry follower, the company has now unlocked some premium items previously only available as pre-order bonuses, including the Explosive Weapons Pack and Weaponized Vehicle Pack. Now, players across all versions of "Just Cause 3" can buy these weapons, gears, and other items directly from Steam, the Xbox Live Store, and the PlayStation Network.

"Just Cause 3" launched for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC last month.
