iPhone review: The iPhone SE, months after

The purported specs, features, and design of the much-awaited Huawei flagship follow-up will finally become official, as the P9 is scheduled to launch today.

Huawei itself has already revealed the April 6 event in previous teasers about the upcoming flagship. Dubbed with a "#OO" hashtag, the press event launch kicks off in Battersea London.

Meanwhile, although the April 6 event has been weeks in the making, the press launch seems to be just a formality, as numerous leaks on the design, internals, and features of the Huawei P9 have been making the rounds online even before Huawei confirmed the launch date.

Just hours before the reveal, leaks continue to crop up, detailing the Huawei P9. The latest image obtained by GSM Arena shows a black version of the upcoming flagship, its back panel clearly highlighting – and confirming – previous details. The new image confirms that the dual-cam setup, teased to be one of the main features of the P9, is made in collaboration with Leica. This is a huge step for Huawei, as Leica is considered to be one of the foremost experts in the imaging industry.

In addition to the main camera, the back panel also clearly details the fingerprint sensor of the Huawei P9. The industry follower said that the recent image seems to indicate that this is already the consumer version to be used for today's reveal, since earlier leaks on the prototype device showed the fingerprint sensor to be somewhat circular. The final version seen on the image sports a rectangular fingerprint scanner with rounded corners.

Meanwhile, the April 6 launch is also a formality for the Huawei P9's specs, since some of the previous leaks already highlighted the flagship's internals. While the earlier rumors may have been only part of fan wish lists, the more recent specs sheet leaks seem to be plausible, as they are reportedly taken from supposed benchmark listings from observer websites.
