iPhone 7 release date rumors: next iteration to make its debut in September?

Of course, Apple has continued to remain tight-lipped about its new devices. However, going by the trend in the previous years, we may have the next devices from Apple during the latter half of this year. Up until now, it has been customary for the company to hold its launching event at around the same time the consumer electronics show IFA comes to a close.

If that happens this year as well, a September release is evident on the cards. But of course, without an official statement, all we can do is continue to guess.

Tech Radar sports an article that gives space to the most widely circulating rumor regarding the new iPhones. Along with the previously established iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, a third doyen of devices, dubbed the iPhone 7 Pro, may join the line. While certain theories speculate that the new Pro device is in fact nothing but the iPhone 7 Plus, other guesses toy with the idea that the Pro edition sits above the other two in the collection in terms of its price as well as its features.

Apple also seems to be learning from the past. With a lack of an expandable storage option, most users hesitated to switch over to the iPhone platform because limiting the storage capacity to 16GB on the lowest trim seemed too restrictive. Upgrading to higher models in search of larger storage meant a heavy blow on the pocket. This time around, as Wall Street Journal reports, the 16GB in the entry level device will be replaced by 32GB of storage space.

A report on Pocket-Lint suggests that the new flagship phones will not undergo many changes in the design. One of the few changes in design that will take place involves moving the antenna bands to the upper and lower ends for a neater appearance.
